Bestiality, the former Greek ζωον (zoon, "animal") and φιλία (philia, "friendship" or "love") is sexual attraction of a human being for one or more animals. Apparu in the nineteenth century, the word is derived from Zoofilia Greek roots. It was once known as "bestiality". Today the term is often used to describe the transition to the actual sexual act that can result from attraction bestiality. It also speaks of "acts zoophiles."
